Welcome to CHATS-AS
|
Created in 1993 as a small forum of discussion to advance
the art and science of thermo-hydraulic simulation and modeling
in support of superconducting magnet design
programs, CHATS on Applied Superconductivity (CHATS-AS)
has gradually evolved and expanded its scope to encompass
all aspects of superconducting system modeling.
Special emphasis is placed on bringing together modelling and
experiments, the interpretation of data and the design of tests
and suitable theories in support of magnet system deisgn
for the many large scale applications of superconductivity such as
fusion, HEP, power applications.
The workshop is open to both LTS and HTS applications , and
of special interest is the development of multi-hysics models
(thermo-hydraulic, electro-dynamic, mechanical) for the design and
analysis of superconducting devices.
